Electric RC HelicoptersOne of the fun things about electric rc helicopters is that you can fly them anywhere. A mini, battery powered rc helicopter is small enough you can even fly them in your living room.
In general there are two types. First are the cheap r/c helicopters that you can buy in department stores for less than $50. These are the ones that are very small, made of Styrofoam, and have dual rotor blades. Second are the hobby quality models. These can usually be bought as a kit (unassembled) or as "ready to fly" (assembled with accessories). If you're new, it is easy to get started by buying the ready to fly helicopters. Simply charge the batteries and start having fun. (Note: There is a learning curve involved in flying helicopters. It is highly recommended you find an experienced hobbyist to teach you how to fly.) Later one you might want to buy "kits". Here you can choose the accessories that you want in order to complete the kit. You can buy the transmitter, receiver, servos, gyros, electronic speed controls, batteries, and charger as separate units... you have the freedom of choice. (Note: Again consult an experienced hobbyist, it will save you time, money, and keep your flights safe for everyone. Rotating blades can cause serious physical injuries.) Where to buy?
