RC Helicopter Flying Tips

Learning the proper way to fly an rc helicopter will save you lots of money in broken parts as well as keep you safe. (Yes, there are plenty of horror stories involving blades causing bodily injury.)

There are many safe ways to learn how to fly rc helicopters:

1. Buy a Flight Simulator such as the Real Flight G2 simulator. A strong Pentium IV PC is more than good enough. Flight simulators allow you the luxury of crashing without the danger and expense.
2. Use training landing gears to enlarge your helis footprint, making it easier to make safe landings.
3. Have an experienced heli flyer teach you how! Look for a local club or flying field and talk to the experts. Or ask your local hobby shop owner... the good ones will really help you out.
